Cathleen was born on January 9, 1955, to Thomas and Alta (Pierce) Barnes, in Kansas City, Kansas. Cathleen graduated from Monroe City High School. After graduation she moved to Kansas City, KS and married her high school sweetheart, John Pierceall, on November 3, 1973.
Cathleen was an avid traveler, enjoying cruises, watching sunsets, boat rides and trips to Key West. She also was a talented seamstress, pianist and baker, a family favorite was her cinnamon rolls.
She is survived by her mother, Alta Lockett; her loving husband, John Pierceall; two beautiful daughters Angie Jones and Laura (Scot Robinson) Pierceall; and her sister Cheryl (Doug) Fleming.
She is preceded in death by her father Thomas Barnes; stepfather Charles Lockett; and sister Linda Nixon.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Good Samaritan Society of Olathe or the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at McGilley & Frye Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 105 E. Loula Street, Olathe, KS 66061, followed by a funeral service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A committal service for Cathleen will immediately follow from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, 13901 Blackbob Road, Olathe, KS 66062.
