Cindy Lou Langley, 67, passed away on April 10, 2026. Born on November 3, 1958, in Cherry Point, North Carolina. Cindy Lou lived in Oak Grove, MO and carried herself through life with a steady faith, an honest spirit, and a kind-hearted devotion to the people she loved.
Cindy Lou's determination showed early and remained a defining thread throughout her life. She graduated from Olathe High School and continued building her skills with purpose; earning a Diploma in Medical Office Management from Kansas City College of Medical & Dental Careers, acquired her Real Estate License, took college courses at JCCC, and completed the JCCC Interpersonal Communication Certification Program. She also attended Cosmetology School, reflecting a lifelong willingness to learn, adapt and work hard for what mattered.
Her career was long and varied, marked by reliability, resilience, and a generous willingness to serve wherever she was needed. Cindy worked as a Rural Route Delivery Specialist for the United States Postal Service, Office Manager for Miller Chiropractic, a Unit Support Specialist at KU Hospital in the Surgical Department, a Florist at Flowerama, an Insurance Collector at Gentiva, in Medical Billing at Cerner, and as Office Manager and Billing at the Psychology Office of Dr. Kathleen Keenan. Yet of all her roles, the one she held closest was the opportunity to work alongside her children and eventually retire from Accounting and Office Management at Insulation Pros—an accomplishment that mattered deeply to her because it was rooted in devotion to family.
Cindy Lou was married for 17 years to Larry “Mike” Langley, though they divorced they remained friends. Together they shared two children, Josie Leann Langley and Larry Scott Langley. She was also blessed with five grandchildren—Shayla Bowers, Ella Hague, Aubrey Langley, Daisy Davis, and Larry Jett Langley—as well as a daughter-in-law, Laura Langley. Those who knew her best knew her as beloved and cherished, a loyal presence and a steady backbone; family centered in all things, compassionate when you needed an ear and devoted in the way she showed up without fail.
Cindy was active throughout her life and enjoyed dancing, skiing, swimming, golfing, boating, camping, concerts and many things in-between and beyond. As “Grandma,” Cindy found joy in the the everyday moments that become lifelong memories. She enjoyed shopping with her grandchildren, spoiling them was her favorite hobby. She took pride in gardening and caring for her lawn and plants and had more recently developed a love for quilting. She loved the holidays; decorating beautifully and bringing warmth and meaning to each season with her thoughtful touch.
Cindy volunteered at the voting polls and remained a dedicated conservative and faithful Christian throughout her life. Her faith was not merely something she spoke of, but something that carried her—quietly, bravely—through hardship. Though she never wanted to be called "strong,” she endured life’s storms with integrity, grit, grace, and relentless determination. She fought for opportunity for her children, standing brave when the odds were stacked against her, and remaining inspirational not through grand speeches but through quiet resilience and everyday sacrifices.
Cindy Lou is preceded in death by her father, John William Suddarth and her mother, Barbara Ann (Fox) Suddarth. She is survived by her ex-husband and friend, Larry “Mike” Langley; her son, Larry Scott Langley; her daughter, Josie Leann Langley; her surrogate son, Rudolph Winston Dillard; her furr baby and "favorite child", Freddy; her grandchildren, Shayla Lou Ann Bowers, Ella Mira Hague, Aubrey Louise Langley, Daisy Renee Davis, and Larry Jett Langley; and her daughter-in-law, Laura Langley. “We pray that there is no traffic in heaven (lol), no sickness, no sadness or despair left to be felt. We pray that you are with God and Jesus where the warriors are celebrated having fought a hard and faithful battle on this earth. You have truly been a ‘David’ in the 'Goliath' of life, surely you are a hero among them. We love you to the moon and back, always and forever.”
