She graduated from Olathe High School in 1974.
She had a few jobs in her life but the most notable one was at JC Penney where she met the love of her life, Jim. Other previous employment included 7-11, Pharmacy Express and Auburn Pharmacy, where at all she touched many lives and made lifelong friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Bob and Jeannie Post, Sisters: Suzi Post and Diane Post, brothers: Richard Post, James “BoBo” Post, David Post and Mike Post.
She is survived by her daughters Lori Post JoRay, Stacy Foster Sneed (Jason McIntosh) and sons Chris (Jen) Foster, Randy (Leslie) Foster, Steve Foster. Grandsons: Cody JoRay, Colton West, Mikey Sneed, Tyler Sneed, Jackson Foster and Eli Foster. Granddaughters: Katie Foster and Quinn Foster. Her brother: Joe Post, numerous nieces and nephews and her best friend and partner in crime for the last 52 years Lori Lynn Thrasher.
An example of how remarkable Cindy and Jim were as a couple is when Cindy was 24 and lost her parents and 4 siblings, they adopted Randy and became guardians to her sister Lori. They accepted them and raised them as if they were their own kids but never let them forget where they came from.
She loved to read and crochet. Her greatest passion was anything to do with antiquing and flea markets. This is a passion she shared with a few family members.
She loved her grandkids more than anything in this world (arguably even more than her kids) and a grandkid never left her house without snacks in hand.
When her kids were younger, her guilty pleasure was playing the Legend of Zelda and there may have been a late dinner or two involved.
She was a newfound fan of the KC Royals and the movie franchise of Hotel Transylvania.
She was deemed a “goody two shoes” by her brothers growing up, which resulted in her kids wanting to hear the endless stories that came with that title.
She shared a love of bad jokes with Lori. She and Chris had a love of puzzles together. She always reminded us that life was never boring with Randy. She shared a mutual love of dancing with Stacy (Stacy danced, she loved to watch). Steve was her baby and they bonded over many things but mostly Steve’s dog Duke. Duke quickly became a part of the family and she absolutely loved sitting on the back deck watching Duke run around the yard playing. Jim was the love of her life and they had 44 years, 5 kids and 8 grandkids together.
A private viewing was held by immediate family and a celebration of life will be held at a later date that all will be welcome to attend.
The family of Cindy would like to thank all who have not only shown us love since her passing but all who have loved her like we do during her time of living.
