Dale Lee Harris

Dale L Harris was born February 1, 1929 in Wellington, KS. He served his country in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from K-State and worked in that field his entire career. He moved to Olathe, KS in 1997 to work for Allied Signal. He enjoyed his work throughout his career and he was always an excellent provider for his family.

Dale met his future wife Doris at the JC Penney Company in Wellington, KS. They were married in Washington DC in 1954 where they were both discharged from the US Navy. They were married at a time when the marriage commitment meant till death do us part. That marriage produced five amazing children.

Dale is survived by his wife of 67 plus years, Doris Harris; his daughter Diane Wimpee (Mark) of Oregon; his son Dale jr of Olathe, KS; his son Darrin of Arizona. He has too many grandchildren and great grandchildren to name. He was preceded in death by his son Douglas and his son David. He will be greatly missed.
