Damian "Little" Edward Flores

Damian Flores, 23, of Kansas City, Missouri, died October 12, 2003. Visitation was held at Guardian Angels Catholic Church on Sunday, October 26, from 6:00-9:00 PM where a Rosary was prayed at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial was held 10:00 AM Monday, October 27, 2003, at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 1310 Westport Road, Kansas City, Missouri. Interment was in Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Kansas City, Kansas.

Damian was born May 27, 1980 and shared his mother's birthday. He graduated from Rockhurst High School in 1998. Damian was a kind, caring young man with a radiant smile. He adored children and as an employee of Children's Choice Day Care, he demonstrated daily his patience and concern for them all. Damian cherished his family and could never go long without a family gathering. He was an inspiration to his parents, his brothers and to all that were a part of his life.

Damian was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, David and Jessie Arciga and his paternal grandfather, Jesse M. Flores Sr. Since Damian's passing in 2003, his uncle, Richard LeDesma, joined him in heaven.

Damian is survived by his parents, Jesse and Rebecca (Arciga) Flores of Lenexa, Kansas; his brothers, Stephen and Kim Flores of Kansas City, Missouri and David Flores; his paternal grandmother. Adela Flores; Godfather Mike Johnson; Goddaughter, Marissa LeDesma; His paternal aunts, Patricia LeDesma-Jiminez and Jeanette Johnson. His maternal aunts and uncles, Patricia and Mike Elster, David and Sylvia Arciga and Michael and Melissa Arciga; along with a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, all of whom love and will miss this special young man very much.

Since Damian's passing in 2003, Damian became an uncle to Christian and Caden. Christian 8 (Son of David Flores) and Caden 6 (Son of Stephen and Kim Flores). Both Christian and Caden know their uncle Damian, continuously ask about him and are well aware of the love he has for both of them. They consider him their Guardian Angel and every chance they get they pray and talk about their uncle Damian. Both Christian and Caden share their uncle's radiant smile, patience for others and enjoyment at family gatherings.
