My dad was always the most loyal and loving friend, coworker, and family member you could ever hope to meet. He never carried gossip, was always ready and happy to lend a hand, and was the best secret-keeper I’ve ever known. I’m honored to have spent my entire life trying (mostly unsuccessfully) to live up to his example. I will forever miss his smile, our daily chats, road trips, advice, the timber of his voice, and that dirty-dog laugh. I thank God for blessing me with such a great dad. I take great comfort in knowing I was one of his favorites. Save me a seat, Dad— I’m looking so forward to seeing you again!

David was a wonderful person. He taught me many things in the pipefitting industry to make me the best fitter I could be! We worked together for years along with helping with the Pipefitters golf tournament together. When we weren’t working on the same job I always looked forward to seeing him at one our union meetings. He gave his time for anyone who needed his help. I will always remember his smile and his contagious laugh. God bless for bringing him in to all of our lives.......

We have many great memories of David. Frank and I rode the bus to one of the Chiefs game it was sooooo cold. Well of course I was not dressed for weather, no hat can’t mess up the hair, God forbid! I probably had pantyhose and heels on. My feet were freezing could not get warm, it was miserable. Frank called David he came to the stadium and picked us up and took us home. This was David always there for you. He will be greatly missed!
Love to all

The McDaniels,
I am at a loss for words and David would be laughing at that. My heart is aching for you all. I am sending prayers to you all during this difficult time. I do not have a childhood memory without you all in it. David will be missed by so many. He was an amazing man, husband, Dad and grandfather. His relationship with the Lord made me jealous and envious at the same time. R.I.P. David

From the Brixey family to the McDaniel family
Dave and Rose were our friends and neighbors for over 30 years. We watched our kids grow up together and we always looked out for everyone on our street. After we moved to Chicago, Dave told us he would look after our daughter and granddaughters who still live next to Dave and Rose, and he always did. Good neighbors like Dave and Rose are hard to find. We will miss you, our friend .
