Dean Arthur Stahlhut, 72, of Olathe, Kansas passed away at home on Saturday, August 29, 2020. He will forever be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to everyone he knew.

Dean was born on May 6, 1948 in Waterloo, Iowa to Harvey Lavern and Marilyn Anne (Given) Stahlhut. He attended and graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School. After graduation he attended a few years of college and then he joined the U.S. Navy during the outbreak of Vietnam. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy as Medical Corpsman from 1967-1969. He worked years in Restaurant & Hotel Management. He was honored to be offered the opportunity to play baseball with the Boston “Red Socks”. He was a proud die hard KC Sports fan. Old enough to see, Super-Bowl 1, Super-Bowl IV and Super-Bowl LIV”.

Dean is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Crystal, his father-in-law Gilbert Herman Dixon and his brother-in-law Rex Stacy. He is survived by his loving wife of almost forty one years Jacki Lynn Stahlhut of the home, daughter Candice Livezey and her husband Ryan of Olathe, Kansas and son Keir Stahlhut and his wife Kindra of Salinas, California. Left behind to cherish his memory are his seven grandchildren Gaige Stahlhut, Trea Stahlhut, Alexander (Alex) Stahlhut, Corrinn Stahlhut, Heidi Stahlhut, Tierney Livezey and Sheamus Livezey. Dean is also survived by his sisters Barbara Stacy of Omaha, Nebraska, Cindy Berg and her husband Tom of Omaha, Nebraska and mother-in-law June Dixon of Waukegan, Illinois. He will be sadly missed.

Funeral service 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 5th at Redeemer Lutheran Church 920 South Alta Lane Olathe, Kansas. Visitation 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, September 4th at the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home 105 East Loula Street Olathe, Kansas. Due to the current pandemic, masks are required to be worn by everyone who enters the funeral home. All Covid-19 regulations issued in the state of Kansas will be implemented.
