Delores Dean Leonard, 88, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, January 21, 2022. She will forever be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend
to everyone she knew.
Delores was born on January 8, 1934 in St. Joseph, Missouri to George William and Dorothy (Vanderpool) Boyer. She attended and graduated from Braymer High School. She met and married Raymond Patterson and they had three children together: Ron, Cynthia and Sheila. They divorced and later in her life she met and married Harry Leonard.
Delores worked as an Instructor in Cosmetology for the House of Heavilin in Overland Park, KS. She enjoyed her coffee, crocheting and being home with her family. Nothing gave her more pleasure in life than the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed.
Delores is preceded in death by her parents, husband Harry Leonard, son Ron Patterson, daughter Sheila Kinder and two sisters Marlyss Davis and Jenny Davis. She is survived by her daughter Cynthia (Cindy) Black and her husband, James, of Overland Park, Kansas. Left behind to cherish her memory are her six Grandchildren Chad Patterson (Esmeralda), Jessica Patterson-Tuono (Vince), Amanda Barnes (Rance), Austin Black, Ashley Rowe-Hayden (Zech), Madisen Black, and four great
grandchildren Keira Patterson, Addilyn Barnes, Stratton Barnes and Jax Patterson.
