Dennise Ann McCurdy

Dennise Ann McCurdy, 72, of Lenexa passed away March 23rd, 2012. Dennise was born November 25th, 1939 in Manhattan, Kansas to Dennis and Elsie Barclay. She is preceded in death by her husband Gene McCurdy. Dennise graduated Manhattan High School in 1957 and in 1964 she married Gene. Dennise made many lifelong friends wherever she went, often through church activities and volunteer work. Dennise was an active member of the Monticello United Methodist church; she was very involved with the United Methodist Women; she was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority; she was a member of the Monticello Historical Society; and she worked as a para-educator for the Olathe School District and DeSoto School District before she retired. She is survived by her sister, Lynette Tester, her three sons- Greg McCurdy of Hawaii, Randall McCurdy of Leavenworth, Kansas, and Kevin McCurdy of Lenexa, Kansas and by her two granddaughters, April Ganitoen and Sophia McCurdy.

Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, April 4th at the Monticello United Methodist Church, 23860 West 75th St, Shawnee, KS, 66227. Memorial services will follow at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church. Condolences may be offered at www.McGilley-Frye.com
