Donald Lee Lobner

Donald Lee Lobner, a beloved resident of Lenexa, Kansas, passed away on February 10, 2026, at the age of 92. Born on December 11, 1933, Donald was a cherished and devoted individual, known for his generous, humorous, hard-working, and honest nature. His wise and kind-hearted presence touched the lives of many, and he was admired for his loyal spirit.

Donald was a graduate of St. Agnes and pursued further education at a machinist technical school. His career as a machinist mechanic was marked by dedication and excellence. He served in the US Army, where his commitment and skills were highly valued. After a successful career, he retired from Dean Machinery, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and integrity.

In his personal life, Donald was deeply devoted to his family. He was married to his beloved wife, Lois Lobner, for 45 wonderful years. He raised four boys. He is survived by his sons, John (Becky) Lobner and Michael (Marlene) Lobner. His family further extends to his cherished grandchildren, Jennifer, Anna, JR, Valerie, Jeryka, Jessica, and Christopher, as well as 17 great-grandchildren. Donald was preceded in death by his sons, Donald Lobner Jr. and James Lobner, granddaughters Jeryka Lawrence and Joann Lobner, and great-granddaughter Clare Lobner.

Donald had a passion for antique cars and enjoyed attending swap meets. Above all, he treasured the time spent with his family, leaving behind memories that will be forever cherished by those who knew and loved him.

Funeral services for Donald will be Visitation from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home 105 East Loula Street Olathe, Kansas. Thursday morning February 19, 2026 a second visitation for Donald will be from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church 21650 West 115th Terrace Olathe, Kansas. Followed by a funeral Mass starting at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment following the funeral mass in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery 8321 Quivira Road Lenexa, Kansas.
