Dotsy Lou Wright Alleyne

Dotsy Lou (Wright) Alleyne was born October 4, 1938 in Evinston, Florida to James Wright and Dottsy Lue Woodard. She attended Lincoln High School in Gainesville, Florida. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Evinston, Florida.

Following high school, she relocated to Amityville, New York where she met the love of her life, Sydney Franklin Alleyne. They united in holy matrimony in 1971 and to that union, one daughter, Stacey Denise Alleyne was born. Following stints in New York and Washington, DC, they settled in Lenexa, Kansas in 1978. Dotsy Lou was long time employee at Puritan Bennett prior retiring in 2002. In her later years, she joined New Light Bethel Baptist Church and was an active member until her untimely death.

Dotsy Lou is preceded in death by her parents; James Wright and Dottsy Lue Woodard, husband; Sydney Franklin Alleyne and granddaughter; Miesha LaShawn Alleyne. She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter; Stacey Denise Alleyne of Grandview, Missouri, granddaughter; Dominique Lorae Waller of Shawnee, Kansas, grandson; Tavon Malik Alleyne of Grandview, Missouri, great-granddaughter; Sydney Ryan Alleyne of Overland Park, Kansas and brother; Walter C. Woodard (Mary) of Amityville, NY, special long-time friends; Viola Phillips, Connie Burnett, Jackye Finnie and Sylvia Stafford along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
