Erika Michelle Jaremko, 19, of Olathe, Kansas passed away February 12, 2016 in Emporia, Kansas. Visitation will be 5:00p.m.to 8:00p.m. Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at the McGilley and Frye Funeral Home 105 East Loula Street Olathe, Kansas. Burial in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens 13901 South Black Bob Road Olathe, Kansas Funeral will be 10:00a.m. Thursday, February 18th at The Evangelistic Center Church 700 East Loula Street Olathe, Kansas.
Erika was born on June 26, 1996 in Merriam, Kansas to Michael Jaremko Sr. and Stephanie Post. She was a lifelong resident of Olathe Kansas. She was on the track and basketball team at Oregon Trail Jr High, and the softball, debate and forensic teams at Olathe North High School where she attended school until the last half of her senior year. She finished her high school career at Gardner Edgerton High School. After high school Erika attended Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas. and was a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority.
Erika was so proud to be a Hornet and a member of Tri Sigma. She loved her sorority sister’s. She considered them her second family. Erika lived life to the fullest and there was never a dull moment when she was around. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her contagious laugh and her never ending selfies. Her spunky and outgoing personality will be missed by everyone who loved her.
Erika is preceded in death by her Uncle, Damon (Eddie) Griffey and Uncle James (Jimmy) Jaremko, grandfathers, Jim Flanagan, Leo Jaremko and Arthur Atterbury, and grandmother Nancy Atterbury. Erika is survived by her mother, Stephanie Post (Jeff Norris) of the home. Siblings, Aaliyah Jaremko of Olathe, Kansas, Kennedy and Rylie Atterbury and Mitchell and Caden Norris of the home and Joshua Norris of Omaha, Nebraska. Her father Michael Jaremko Sr. (Kim) of Independence, Missouri. Siblings Joshua Smith, Darring and Maria White, Michael Jr, Aiden, Bella, Viktorya, and Embur Jaremko all of Independence, Missouri. Her niece Nataleigh Boyce of Olathe, Kansas whom she had a special place in her heart. Her maternal grandparents, Mike Post and Pam Roberts, and Ann Post, paternal grandmother Alice Flanagan. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends who will miss her deeply.
