In an age where neighbors are mostly strangers, Espy exemplified the meaning of the word "neighborly". Over the course of a near decade of being neighbors, it saddens us to know that she is gone despite all her fight and muster, but glad to know she is no longer in pain. Espy always went above and beyond what was expected when it came to neighborly deeds and showing her gratitude when we would help her out. If not for her we rarely would have known the goings on of the neighborhood and the city. She always kept us informed. Heck, she was the first person we called when the power would go out, because there was no point in calling the power company because she probably already had! Never one to shy away from telling you about her maladies, it was a surreal experience at times discussing her illness with her. Her honesty and openness about it was very uncommon. Hopefully soon, a cure will be found so another beautiful soul such as hers won't be forced to go through what she did. The neighborhood has truly lost a great member and she will definitely be missed.

There doesn't seem to be words adequate enough for this sweet and wonderful person. She was truly an inspiration. As her home visitor for Day Care Connection I was always amazed at our visits that she could be so upbeat and energetic in the light of what she was battling. So many of us would just crumble and cry. She truly lived every moment to the fullest. I remember that every holiday she would decorate with the kids and really enjoy it. She also was always thinking of other people. I will never forget this lovely person. She taught us all a lot. Keeping all of her family in my thoughts and praying for your strength!

Espy fought one of the bravest and hardest fights of anyone I have ever known. All through this fight she was positive, courageous and continued to help others. I am blessed to have known such an amazing woman and call her friend. Kristofer and KyLee you should be so proud of your mom. She loved both of you so much and was so proud of each of you. Goodbye sweet friend. May you rest in peace.

"we are not human beings going through a temporary spiritual experience. We are spiritual Beings going through a temporary Human experience." I feel so blessed for knowing Espy not only as a sister in law but as a dear friend. Her spirit will never leave us because of Kylee & Kristefer. She had a stronge willl to live for her childern. She had a strong Love for Family and tradition. She felt that education was very important. She loved her day care childern. She was always a true host. Every time I saw her she would fix tea and make a meal . You would never think she was under going such a life trial.God brings people into our life for a reason . Most of the time it is to learn a lesson in life. I'm sure each of us learned different things from Espy . She will truly be missed .

We are so very sorry for your loss. We knew Espy as "Lee". She was always joyful when she came to our shop with Smokey. We have sent our prayers throughout her illness and are sad to know we will not see her smiling face. Sandi & Brandy, Hair of the Dog

It's her sheer dedication I'll cherish: the way she dedicated herself to other caregivers, the way she dedicated herself to her children, the way she dedicated herself to others... period. That kind of spirit will live on, within all she touched forever!

It was always fun when Espy came to fill in at our store or stopped by to visit. She would always comment " You cut the pizza so violently!" and it would always make me laugh. She was a sweet lady and Im sad that I haddent seen her in several years now. The world lost a wonderful person. My thoughts and prayers are with you Scott, and your family.
