

Estelle Chesney Pincomb Burke, 92, of Olathe, Kanas passed away Sunday, October 5, 2014, at her daughter's home. She will be forever remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Estelle was born on September 9, 1922, to Alexander and Catherine (Reville) Chesney. Estelle grew up on a dairy farm in Lenexa, attended Cherry Lane Elementary School and graduated from Olathe High School. She was united in marriage to Dr. Arthur L. Pincomb on November 14, 1942. To this union were born four children, Sharon, Leesa, Susan and Art.
Estelle was active beyond her years. She was a member of the Disabled Persons Advisory
Board, Olathe City Council, Charter Member of the Olathe Jaycees Janes, President of the Olathe Chapter of the American Field Service of Kansas City and a 2-year chairman of the Festival of Nations with AFS. She is also a Past Chairman of the Social Concerns, Director of the Friendship Tutoring Program for the 1st United Methodist Church of Olathe and was a 12 year appointee to the Johnson County Mental Health and Head Start of Olathe. Above and beyond her more formal accomplishments, she was an extraordinary cook. She loved having friends over to play Bridge or to watch her KU Jayhawks play basketball.
She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur L.; daughter Susan C. Pincomb; her second husband, Martin Burke. She was the last surviving Chesney sibling as she was also preceded in death by her seven brothers Alex, George, Emanuel, David, James, Daniel, John and four sisters Chelly, Catherine, Jane and Margaret.
Estelle is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Harold) Hunzeker and Leesa (Fred) Seymour; son Arthur C. (Barbara) Pincomb; six grandchildren, Jerod, Matthew, Erica, Jessica, Steven, Joel and one great granddaughter, Kenzie.
Funeral services will be 11:00am, Wednesday, October 8, at McGilley & Frye Funeral Home, 105 East Loula Street, Olathe, 66061. Interment will be in Olathe Memorial Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to Johnson County Mental Health.
Estelle will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her!
