Esther Fenton, 70 of Olathe, Kansas passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, August 18, 2021. She will forever be remembered as loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to everyone she knew.
Esther was born on May 20, 1951 in Trenton, Missouri to Kenneth Wayne and Lucy Mae (Echols) Sigler. She attended and graduated from Trenton High School “Class of 1969”. She worked as a Court Trustee for the Judicial Courts in Johnson County Kansas for fifteen years. She also worked at Farmers Insurance Company in Overland Park Kansas, P.D. A. Associates, Food Barn, Price Chopper and Deluxe Checking. Esther enjoyed gardening and quilting. She enjoyed cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, the Kansas City Royals and watching KU Basketball on television. She enjoyed spending time with her family and nothing gave her more pleasure in life than the time she spent with her two grandchildren Anthony and Terrahn. She will be sadly missed.
Esther is preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Lucy Sigler and her brother Pete Sigler. She is survived by her daughter Lesa M. Wall of Kansas City, Missouri Left behind to cherish her memory are her two grandchildren Anthony Wall of Olathe, Kansas and Terrahn Wall of Lawrence, Kansas. Esther also leaves behind her two brothers Mark Sigler and his wife Beth of Brimson, Missouri, Danny Sigler and his wife Sue of Olathe, Kansas, sister Kelly Bartsch of Grandview, Missouri and her faithful companion “Honey”. Nieces and nephews Danielle Broadbooks and her husband Lincoln of Olathe, Kansas, Naomi Pickens and her husband John of Olathe, Kansas, Shawn Grew and his wife Felicia of Garden City, Missouri, Michael Meyer and his wife Melissa of Independence, Missouri and Kelly Dawn Hamilton and her husband Ronnie of Liberty, Missouri. Along with several great nieces and nephews.
Esther will be cremated according to her wishes. A “Celebration of Life” will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 28, 2021 at the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home 105 East Loula Street Olathe, Kansas.
