Fidelis Nzuki Munyao

. Fidelis Munyao Nzuki, of Olathe, Kansas passed away Wednesday, July 29th, 2020 at Olathe Medical Center. He was a tranquil, kind hearted, patient and fun loving man. He was a selfless giver, loving husband, devoted father, avid listener, and spiritual man who walked alongside God. He was hard working, and was constantly sacrificing without reservation, or equivocation. He enjoyed simple pleasures, spending time with his family, and he lived his life for the ones that he loved. Never to be forgotten, and only to be remembered, he will always be cherished by his friends and family.

Fidelis was born in Kangundo Machakos, Kenya on October 22nd, 1952. He was the son of the late Mr. Munyao Ndolo and Teresia Nzula. He was brother to Bernard, Rosali, Mary, Thomas, Joseph, Stephen, Pauline and among others. He went to Kanzalu Primary School, Kangaru High School and received his A levels of education from Kamusinga High School. He graduated from Nairobi University with his Bachelors Degree in Engineering and received his Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Germany. He worked as a mechanical engineer in Nairobi, Kenya and taught at JKUAT. He migrated to the United States where he continued working as an engineer. And in his later years he worked as a nurse.

He is preceded in death by both his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Rhoda Nzuki of the home, three children, Liz Kanini, Anne Ndunge and Isaac Munyao. He is also survived by his two son-in-laws, Michael Namasake and Jason Young. He also leaves behind two grandchildren, Morgan and Logan.

A "Celebration of Life" will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday morning, August 4, 2020 at the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home 105 East Loula Street Olathe, Kansas. Visitation will be 10:00-11:00- a.m. Tuesday morning one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens 13901 South Black Bob Road Olathe, Kansas. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday evening August 3rd at the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home. Due to public health, safety concerns, and regulations for COVID-19 there will be limited guest attendance as part of social distancing measures.

However, flowers, donations, and condolences may be offered at 12988 South Summit Street, Olathe, KS 66062.
