Frances Irene Marks

Frances Irene Marks, 91, Olathe, KS, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012. Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at McGilley & Frye Funeral Home, with burial following in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm, Tuesday at McGilley & Frye. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church, 200 E. Loula, Olathe, KS 66061.

Frances was born August 10, 1920 in Olathe, KS to Frank and Catherine (Layson) Hubbell. She was very active in the First Christian Church, assisting and leading numerous ministries over the years. Frances was well known for her painting of china, tole, portraits and stills. She was dedicated to her family and loved to do historical research and genealogy. Frances will be remembered for her caring love.

Mrs. Marks was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William Harold Marks, an infant son, 2 sons, William Marks and Ronnie Ross and her sister, Etta Marie Smith.

She is survived by her niece, Fawnna (Mark) Pinnick; nephew, Lucky (Deanna) Smith; great niece, Harmonie Beyer; great nephews, Kyle and Justin Smith; step-sons, Perry and Robert Marks; grandchildren, Michael Marks, Larry Marks, Linda Heck, John Dudley, Perry Marks, Jr., Susan Conoley, Lynn Marks Boddington, Bruce Marks and James Dudley; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
