

Genevieve Ann Wojewoda Przybylski of St. Joseph Missouri, passed on the afternoon of June 21st in Olathe, Kansas at the age of 95. She was loved by many including her surviving children; Carolyn Sherman of Farmington, CT, Dr. Patricia Rupert of San Jose, CA and Stanley Przybylski Jr. of Olathe, her daughter in-law, Tessie Przybylski and grandchildren; Eric Sherman, Hillary Rupert, Meghan Sherman, Amy Rupert Secol and Larry Antolin and her great grandchildren; Tyler, Madison, Emma and Kiera.
Genevieve was first generation American, of Polish descent and graduated from Benton High School in St. Joseph Missouri. During WWII she worked to support the war effort while her husband fought overseas. Genevieve was a wonderful homemaker and a great cook who passed her passion for cooking onto her grandchildren whom she also shared her creative story telling that would amuse them for hours, laughing and enjoying each other’s company. She was a devotional leader of the Catholic faith and a member of the St. Elizabeth parish in Kansas City as well as a prayer leader at Villa St. Francis where she spent her final years.
Genevieve was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Stanislaus George Przybylski Sr. and her first born daughter Judith Ann. She has been welcomed in heaven where she joined her father John, her mother Anna, her brother Louis and her sister Cecilia.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 24th at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church 4503 Frederick Avenue St. Joseph, Missouri 64506. Interment in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery 2600 Lovers Lane St. Joseph, Missouri. Visitation will be 6-8p.m. Thursday, June 23rd at the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home 105 E. Loula St. Olathe, KS, where the Rosary will be prayed at 5:30 p.m.
