Jaime Garcia Gonzalez, age 49, passed away on August 21, 2026. Born on October 31, 1976, Jaime lived in Olathe, Kansas, and will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection by all who knew him.

Jaime attended school through the third grade, and from those early years forward he became known not by titles or credentials, but by the steady strength of his character—meeting life with courage, a thoughtful spirit, and a faith that guided his choices and anchored his days.

For more than 16 years, Jaime served as a crew leader for KAT Nursery. He approached his work with diligence and pride, earning trust through consistency, wisdom, and a willingness to shoulder responsibility. Those who worked alongside him knew him as someone who showed up, worked hard, and quietly set an example—often lightening long days with a warm sense of humor.

Jaime was married to Maira Hermosillo, and together they had three children. Family was at the center of his life, and he found joy in being present—working, providing, and spending time with those he loved. He also valued friendship, always ready to welcome others, make new friends, and offer help to anyone in need, even when he had little to spare. His selflessness was not performative; it was simply the way he lived.

In quieter moments, Jaime enjoyed doing card tricks, bringing smiles and a bit of wonder to the people around him. That same gentle joy—paired with a thoughtful attentiveness—made time with him feel easy, sincere, and memorable.

Jaime carried gratitude in his heart, expressing thanks to others and especially to God. His faith was clear in the words he lived by: “God will provide.” and “We have to put God first before anything.” These were not merely sayings to him, but guiding truths that shaped his perspective and his legacy.

Jaime was an amazing son, brother, husband, and dad. He cared deeply about everyone and wanted the best for the people around him. His life leaves a lasting imprint of bravery, faithful devotion, hard work, wisdom, and kindness—offered with humility, thoughtfulness, and a touch of humor that will be dearly missed.

Funeral Mass will be Friday morning, September 4, 2026 at St. Paul Catholic Church 21650 West 115th Terrace Olathe, Kansas starting at 9:00 a.m. Immediately following the funeral Mass a visitation will take place at the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home 105 East Loula Street Olathe, Kansas. Visitation will start at 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Jaime will be cremated according to his wishes. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
