I just read of Mike's passing, Nita. I am so very saddened at your loss.  We share many memories....

Nita & Family, I was so sorry to hear about Mike's passing.  While we didn't see you all very often, what I do remember vividly is how cheerful Mike was and how much the two of you obviously loved each other - you simply glowed when he was around. Mike and I worked together at NFDS and DST.  He always had a smile and a story to brighten your day. His favorite stories were about his boys and his beloved Nita.  He will be missed. My prayers are with you during this difficult time.

My heart is just broken to have learned that Mike has passed.  He was such an important part of my career.  I admired his integrity, his humor, his love of family and animals.  Nita, I want to send you a warm hug and thank you for sharing Mike with the world.  I feel very fortunate to have known such a lovely person.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Nita and family. Your father, husband, and grandfather will be missed by all he came in touch with. We worked together and he gave me little hints to improve my days and especially my golf game. I will forever think of him when I snap my wrist. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.

Mike was my mentor for the last 15 years.  He touched many lives at DST as well as mine.  I will miss you my friend.  My thoughts and prayers with your family.

Mike will remain in my memory a cherished friend, valued team builder, and fellow dog lover. We shared many hours together at DST, working on projects and with clients, and I admired not only Mike's leadership skills but his decency, ability to laugh, and the strength of his character.
My thoughts and prayers are with Nita and sons.  Mike will be sorely missed by all who were fortunate enough to call him friend.

I've thought often these past years about Mike and his family.  I was given the trusted (and fun) task of staying with Anita when Mike went to Colorado to bring Stefan back when Anita was dealing with her difficult pregnancy with Brett.  The tornados made that weekend a bit scarier, but Anita cared more about her boys coming home than the weather.  Mike and Anita so cherished their son and the one to come.  He was a wonderful father and husband and always put them first. 
 
Mike was also a special co-worker who was so patient with me when he taught me the ropes of being a computer operator.  The job wasn't my favorite, but working with Mike was a joy.  He was one of the happiest people I ever met and his goodness was a special trait.  He new how to give a joke as well as take one.  Not too many people can do that.

Anita, Stefan and Brett, my heart goes out to you in your time of grief.  Knowing the man that Mike was, he is surely with our Father in heaven and he will always be remembered fondly.

Anita and boys, Our love and prayers go out to you.  My favorite picture of Mike in my mind is watching him and you Anita fishing in our pond.   Tom and I looked over and he had laid his pole down beside him on the ground.  When asked if something was wrong he just laughed and said - When Anita fishes with me all I do is take off the fish and bait her hook.  We all got such a good laugh at that.   As usual we wish now  we had fished more often with him.  Love you always....

Mike was brought into our fun group of cousins by our lovely Anita. He managed to handle all our joking and wild reunions like a trooper. He will be sadly missed. Love you Nita. Rita and Jerry Winburn and Family.

I always thought some day I would see you again, talk with you again.  Here I was this young woman just out of high school and you took me by the hand, pointed me in the right direction and guided me while I began my journey into the world.  Working with you and sharing daily stories made it apparent, your wife and family were the joys and loves of your life.  You welcomed me into your world and after all this time I've never forgotten your love and friendship and I will miss you so much dear friend.

Mike was an amazing individual.  He was my mentor for the better part of the last 22 years.  He not only taught me much about managing people, he taught me a lot about life.  My life is better for having known Mike Cox.

I loved hearing his stories about Nina, their boys, and the grandkids.  His stories about his brother and his cars were always entertaining.  He always had the biggest smile on his face when talking about his granddaughter.  I am sure he didn't love her more than the other grandkids, but she was certainly special for all that she had to endure in life.  I think she really inspired him.

Mike touched many lives and he will certainly be missed by countless individuals whom he inspired.  The world was a better place when he was with us.
