

James Girolamo Di Giovanni, 64, of Olathe, Kansas passed away at home on Friday, February 28, 2014. James was born on August 28, 1949 in Passaic City, New Jersey to Steven and Josephine (Di Puma) Di Giovanni.
He was a business owner of Lok-Pro Locksmith Professional Services on Harrison Street in Olathe, Kansas as well as a long standing member of the Olathe Chamber of Commerce. He received his MBA at Southwest Missouri State, now called Missouri State University. Upon receiving his MBA, he started his career in Park and Recreation Management. He served as a Park and Recreation Director in both Springfield Missouri and St. Joseph Missouri. Jim loved the ocean and had spent much time sitting by the Jersey shore and most recently walking the beaches of Pass-A-Grill in St. Petersburg. He had recently returned to his love of fishing spending time in Colorado with Ellen’s brother Kenny Lehmann and fishing Tampa Bay in Florida with Ellen’s other brother Matthew Lehmann. Retirement was close at hand and he had made many plans for travel and projects around the house.
James is preceded in death by his parents Josephine and Steven Di Giovanni. Survivors include his fiancée Ellen M. Komarek, brother Franklin Di Giovanni and his wife Eileen, sisters RoseMarie Di Giovanni, Joyce Di Giovanni and Lorraine Di Giovanni. He is also survived by his nephew Jason Di Giovanni and niece Michelle Murphy and her husband Michael. Now is his time to watch from above. He is loved and cherished.
