James Wayne Pfeiffer

James Wayne Pfeiffer, 55, of Olathe Kansas passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013 at his home. He was born February 22, 1958 in Biloxi Mississippi to Gordon Lee and Joan Carolyn (Renaud) Pfeiffer. The family relocated to Olathe in July 1964. Jim attended Central Elementary, Millbrook Jr High & graduated from Olathe High School, now know as Olathe North, in 1976.

He had worked in the construction field for many years, being instrumental in the reconstruction of the front porch of the Historic Mahaffie House.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Gordon & Joan Pfeiffer, brother Craig Pfeiffer & a great nephew.

He is survived by his daughter Heather & her husband, Brad Swanson of Olathe. Sisters Susan Surber and her husband Ron, of Ottawa, Ks and Nancy Weimholt and her husband Keith, also of Olathe Ks. Also left behind to cherish his memories are 5 grandchildren, 8 nieces & nephews and 9 great-nieces & nephews.

He will forever be remembered as a devoted father, loving brother, great uncle & good friend.

A memorial gathering to honor the life of James Wayne Pfeiffer is scheduled for Friday, July 19, 2013 at The American Legion Post #153 410 East Dennis Ave. Olathe, Kansas 66061.
