Jo Ella Coman Britton, Overland Park, age 85 passed away on June 23, 2010. She was born and lived most of her life in Tulsa OK. She recently moved to Overland Park KS to be close to her daughter Barbara Kirby. Jo Ella was an avid horse woman and accompanied her daughter to horse shows all over the country.
She loved to dance and participated in several Red Glove Reviews in Tulsa. She also played the drums in a band for a short time. Jo Ella was an officer in the family owned Big 4 Foundry until her retirement in 2000. She was a volunteer for Meals On Wheels in Tulsa, a docent of the Tulsa Zoo, a member of the Quota Club, and a member of the Tulsa Crime Commission.
She was devoted to her extended family and attended many high school graduations, weddings, baby showers, Eagle Scout celebrations, and birthdays.
Jo Ella is survived by her daughter Barbara Kirby and her friend Gary Mason, of Overland Park KS, her brother and sister-in-law David and Loisane Coman of Tulsa OK, and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews of Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Atlanta GA and Carbondale CO.
