“Joe” as he was known by his family and friends was born on May 22, 1955 in Olathe, Kansas to Joseph Edward and Betty Marie (Ridgeway) Groszek. He attended and graduated from Olathe High School “Class of 1973”. His passion for all types of automobiles turned him into a “Car Enthusiast”. He took great pride in maintaining his yard, enjoyed going to the Casino’s and spending time with his family. Nothing gave him more pleasure in life than the time he spent with his nieces and nephews.
Joe met the love of his life Donna Louise Neff and they were married on September 27, 1985 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. He worked as an inspector for forty two years. He was a dedicated member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Betty Groszek, and his sister Lisa Demaree who passed away on December 23, 2020. He is survived by his loving wife of thirty five years Donna L. Groszek of the home. Brother Mark Groszek and his wife Pam of Olathe, Kansas. Nieces and nephews Jonathan Rees and his wife Crystal, Anna Lindquist and her husband Zach, Brianna Neff and her husband Evan, Trisha Demaree, Sara Demaree, Zoe Demaree, Ashley Demaree, Eli Demaree, Tim Demaree, Mitch Groszek and Amber Groszek.
Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 26, 2021 at the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home 105 East Loula Street Olathe, Kansas. Visitation 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home. Joe will be cremated according to his wishes. A private family Inurnment will take place at a later date in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens Olathe, Kansas.
