She was born on June 8, 1963 in St. Joseph, MO and raised in Elwood, KS. Karen was known for her love of classic rock, specifically Pink Floyd and Aerosmith. She was a lover of all things nature, especially birds. Karen loved her children and grandchildren. Her favorite color was either purple or tye dye. She loved her concert tees, Pepsi, patchouli, mushroom hunting, thunderstorms and her Hershey bars.
Survivors include: children; Sara Timm (Corey) and Kayla Henderson (Dalton Pope); mother, Shirley Gregg; grandchildren: Tyson Dodds, Kensley De Laval and Eli Pope; siblings: Joann Newell (Rick Salter), Marvin McCollum Jr. and Terry Gregg (Saja); and many nieces and nephews.
A gathering for Karen will be held Saturday, March 26, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at McGilley & Frye Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 105 E. Loula Street, Olathe, KS 66061.
