Kathleen Ann Minich, 77, of Olathe, Kansas passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, January 3, 2019. She will forever be remembered as a devoted mother, loving grandmother, aunt and friend to everyone she knew.
Kathy, the youngest of four siblings was born on September 17, 1941 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Edgar and Pearl (Morgan) Polders. She attended and graduated from Alta Vista High School in Calhan, Colorado. Kathy was an avid reader, and enjoyed traveling, working in her garden, playing bunco with her friends and spending time with her bible study group. Nothing gave her more pleasure in life than spending time with her family and friends. Kathy was also a fan of college basketball, the Chiefs and the Royals. She especially enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren, and will be sadly missed.
Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Pearl Polders, two sisters, Arlene Wofford, Margaret Gray and one brother Jim Polders. She is survived by her children, Pam Eickhoff and her husband Mark of Middleton, Idaho, Trish Beck and her husband Travis of Overland Park, Kansas, and Gary Minich of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Left behind to cherish her memory are her five grandchildren, Jason Eickhoff and his wife Crystal, Seth Beck, Elizabeth Eickhoff and Alexis Beck. Kathy is also survived by several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to, The American Cancer Society 6700 Antioch Road Overland Park, Kansas 66204-1392.
