Kenneth Wayne Newbanks

Kenneth Wayne Newbanks, 66, of Olathe, Kansas passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, June 30, 2019. He will forever be remembered as a devoted husband, loving son, brother, uncle and friend to everyone he met.

“Ken” or “Kenny” as he was known by his family and friends was born on September 7, 1952 in Gardner Kansas to Donald and Barbara (Kurtz) Newbanks. He attended and graduated from Olathe High School in 1970. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his loving spouse of 28 years Keith A. Tipton of the home, his mother and father, Donald and Barbara Newbanks of Olathe, Kansas, two brothers, Gerald Newbanks and his wife Sheila and Larry Newbanks both of Olathe, Kansas, three sister’s Pat Robison and her husband Jon, Charlene Newbanks, and Brenda Vaughn and her husband Terry all of Olathe, Kansas, and many nieces and nephews.

Ken will be cremated according to his wishes. A private family gathering is being planned. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Ken’s name to: Olathe Cancer Center

I was saddened to hear of Ken's passing. I will always remember the times I got to spend with him at OMC when I stopped by to see my mom. 33 years later I still have the stuffed puppy dog he gave me for my 16th birthday. Rest in Peace my friend ❤
