Lance trained me when I was a new driver at Dawn Foods. He was very patient and a humble, kind, and gentle man. Lance gave me lots of guidance and made it clear that I could call him whenever I needed anything, always taking my call. He will be greatly missed.

While we didn't know Lance well what we knew of him was wonderful . He was a kind and gentle soul from what we could see across the driveway living next door to him this past year. I know we were neighbors longer than that when he lived one house further east with his dad but when he moved in next door last summer we got a chance to visit regularly . I told him I was going to start calling him Wilson because when he would talk to us over the fence when we were out in our backyard all I could see of him were his eyes and forehead over the top of the pickets. We were excited for his plans to compete smoking barbecued meat and he practiced many weekends out in his garage making wonderful recipes which he always was kind enough to share a plate with us to try. His love of country music and horseshoes had my husband from the start interested in hanging out and getting to know him better. He was always friendly . Breaks my heart to know he's no longer there when I go out to water my plants on the back deck. When I step out on the front porch to get the mail and I glance over to see if he's on the front porch next door. I guess I never realized how often he played a part in our daily living. We miss him terribly. Prayers for his family during this time. We mourn with you all.
