Larry Louise Fowler, 82, died June 2, 2026. Born August 22, 1943, in Pittsfield, Illinois, she was the daughter of Lawrence Ray and Mardell (Conboy) Barton and was named after her father, Lawrence. Known to family and friends as "Larry," she carried through life a gentle steadiness, a kind heart, and a quiet humor that could brighten ordinary moments. Larry was a resident of Wellsville, Kansas.
Larry's life was marked by faithful devotion to the people and responsibilities entrusted to her, and by a generous spirit that made others feel welcome and cared for. She was hard-working in the truest sense—steadfast, practical, and willing to do what needed doing, day after day, with grace and good sense.
Larry was the owner of Cuddlesome Farms of Wellsville, KS, where she bread miniature toy poodles, miniature horses, and a variety of other animals. In this work, her patience and gentle nature were evident, as was the generosity with which she shared her time and care.
Larry was married to Richard Anthony Fowler until his passing in 2014. Together, they raised two children, Laurie Kyle and Sherri Crawford. Larry's family also includes four grandchildren—Holly Kyle, Jeremy Kyle, Joey Crawford, and Tony Crawford—and four great-grandchildren, Camellia, Addyson, Hunter, and Gnarly. She is survived by her brother, Bob Barton, and his wife, Janice, of Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents.
In her everyday life, Larry found joy in simple pleasures: gardening, having lunch with friends, and, of course, shopping. These moments reflected who she was—warm, thoughtful, and quietly attentive to the good that can be found in a shared meal, a growing garden, or a well-chosen purchase.
Larry will be remembered with deep respect and lasting affection by all who knew her, and with gratitude for a life lived with kindness, faithfulness, and gentle humor.
