Lincoln Mwangi Wainaina, 23, of Olathe, Kansas passed away unexpectedly Saturday, April 28, 2018 in Fort Worth, Texas. He will forever be remembered as a loving son, brother, grandson, cousin and
friend to everyone he met.
“Lin” as he was known by his family and friends was born on April 19, 1995 in Nyeri Kenya to John Patrick Wainaina Mwangi and Mary W. (Murage) Wainaina. He attended Hillcrest Elementary School in Lawrence, Kansas. The family then moved to Olathe, Kansas where he attended Indian Trail Jr. High. Lin graduated from Olathe South High School in 2013. After Graduation, Lin attended Johnson County Community College studying to become a Petroleum Engineer. He worked as an over the road truck driver for Switch
Transport Trucking Company. He will be sadly missed. He is survived by his parents, John and Mary Wainaina, and his loving sister, Caroline Wainaina.
Funeral Services will be 5:00 p.m. Sunday, May 6 th at the Neema Community Church 621 South Lee Ave. Olathe, Kansas. Lin will be laid to rest in a family plot in Nakuru, Kenya. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. one hour prior to the service at the church.
