Lori Michelle Winkelman, 50, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2018. Lori had a beautiful smile that would light up a room the minute she walked in. She was genuine and cared for so many. Lori was a loving wife and mother, a devoted daughter, amazing friend and cherished colleague. Her faith in God was strong and never wavered. Not once did Lori give up. She was a true warrior. Lori loved life and soaked in every detail. She loved the beach and the sun; she loved volunteering for school events; she loved spending time with her family; she would drop what she was doing at a moment's notice to help a friend in need; and she would do anything at all for her husband and kids. They were her rock and she was theirs.

God gave us the gift of having Lori in our lives. We will miss everything about her, but know she is flying high in the arms of Jesus.

Memorial Service 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 30th at Christ Lutheran Church 11720 Neiman Road Overland Park, Kansas. Visitation 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, June 29th at the church. Lori was always such a happy, loving and “do anything for you” person. Even though I didn’t see her much since you guys are in Kansas City I will truly miss the times she would come to Wichita for any special occasion. I remember when she even shared her mom and dad with her cousins (Tracey and Cassy) when they needed a place to live. I don’t know too many young people that would do that in such a loving manner. She treated them as if they were sisters. That is one thing I will always love her for. She was the kind of mother everyone wishes they will be. She lived for her husband and kids. She accepted death with such dignity and grace. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I wish I could be there with you on Saturday but I have obligations at work. Even though I can’t be with you my thoughts will be.
