

Marilyn Joyce Fisher, 76, of Olathe, Kansas passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2017 in Raymore, Missouri. She will forever be remembered as a loving sister, aunt, great aunt and friend to everyone she met.
Marilyn was born on July 1, 1939 in Olathe, Kansas to Henry Lee Friar and Lorena Evelyn (Abell) Nave. She attended and graduated from Olathe High School. Marilyn worked for a radio company here in Olathe on an assembly line. She was an avid bowler and served on a bowling league with several women who she soon became very good friends with. Together they traveled to Las Vegas and Branson Mo. Nothing gave her more pleasure than spending time with her bowling buddies and with her family.
Marilyn loved to send greeting cards. The funny ones were her favorite and she never missed an opportunity to brighten someone’s day remembering their birthday or any other special occasion. Marilyn was a member of the First Baptist Church of Olathe, She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially with her great nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, Henry Friar and Lorena Nave and her maternal grandparents, George and Molly Abell. She is survived by her loving sister, Georgia L. Anderson and her husband Bob of Deepwater, Missouri and her nephew, Brad Anderson and his wife Jean Anderson of Deepwater, Missouri. She will be sadly missed by her great nephew, Brandon Anderson and his wife Fatina and her great niece, Penny Jones and her husband Rick.
Marilyn will be cremated according to her wishes. A visitation is scheduled for Friday afternoon, June 30th at the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home 105 E. Loula St. Olathe, Kansas. Inurnment in Olathe Memorial Cemetery 738 N. Chestnut St. Olathe, Kansas. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: The Salvation Army.
