Her employment with Johnson County, Kansas lasted twenty plus years until she became disabled and retired.
Marilyn was a member of the Red Hatters and a local Sorority. She never met a stranger and was a positive light to everyone she knew. Marilyn had a knack for connecting people. After her husband passed away, she moved to Asbury where God brought her a new neighbor, “Barbara”. Barbara became one of Marilyn’s best friends. They attended church services together, Barbara joined Marilyn’s Red Hatters group and her local Bingo group. Marilyn had many different circles of friends. She loved her church, family, friends, her jewelry and clothes. She prayed the rosary everday.
She lived her life to the fullest by traveling and joining many different social groups. She enjoyed spending time with her family, but nothing gave her more pleasure in life than the time she spent with her grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

Marilyn taught us some valuable lessons in life – faith and God first, but also positivity, perseverance and commitment with love and kindness. Marilyn had many other friends not mentioned here.
