She was born on September 30, 1947, to Bill and Vernona Tyler. Mary was the devoted wife of Jim for 60 years, a loving mother to Brian (JJ) and Lisa (Aaron), a grandmother to Morgan (Phil), Alexis (Dillon), Savannah (Rob), Lily, Rowan, and Kian, and a proud great-grandmother to Gabriel, Julian, Brixton, Gavin, Henry, Charli and Zachary. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Max.
Mary was one of the strongest people her family knew. She met every challenge with quiet strength and grace, even in life’s hardest moments. She always chose the high road and lived with kindness, dignity, and deep love for those around her.
She was truly the center of her family. Mary made holidays and gatherings feel special and welcoming, bringing everyone together. No matter how busy the day had been, she came home from work, prepared dinner, and gathered her family around the table — creating countless memories and anchoring family life. She was the family’s steady presence, never missing a birthday and always reaching out with care.
Mary believed her greatest achievement was the life she built with her beloved husband, Jim, and the family they raised together — their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her legacy lives on through the love she gave and the family traditions she created, which her family hopes to carry forward in her honor.
Mary is survived by her brother, Norman (Karen). She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Sam (Betty). She is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
Mary will be missed fiercely by her family and friends, who will always hold her love, strength, and kindness in their hearts.
