Mildred Louise Phelps, 90, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, June 11, 2018. Mildred will forever be remembered as a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and friend to everyone she met. Mildred was born on March 8, 1928 in Cambridge, Kansas to Charles Ernest and Fannie Mae (Lower) Spencer. She attended Anderson Missouri High School and worked as a Daycare provider in her home for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and nothing gave her more pleasure in life than the time she spent with her grandchildren. Mildred was a dedicated member of Antioch Church in Overland Park, Kansas for many years. Mildred is preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Lyle A. Phelps, parents, Charles and Fannie Spencer, two brothers, Ernest Spencer and Charley Spencer along with two sisters, Frances Mae Drake and Myrtle Robeson. She is survived by her loving daughters, Bessie L. Lohman and her husband Melvin of Kansas City, Kansas and Linda A. Baker and her husband Fred of Catoosa, Oklahoma. Left behind to cherish her memory are her five grandchildren, Louis Lohman III and his wife Angela, Todd Lohman and his wife Karen, Michelle Payne and her husband Matthew, Monty Baker and his wife P.J. and Ron Baker and his wife Dia. She will be sadly missed by her 19 great grandchildren, James Lohman, Jaimah Lohman, Grace Lohman, Brooklyn Lohman, Nick Lohman, Kaylee Lohman, Brayden Payne, Addison Lohman, Alivia Lohman, Lydia Payne, Kinzlee Lohman, Chloe Howe, Rachel Keeley, Nathan Lindley, Preston Lindley, Lena Logan, Jordan Baker, Meagan Reynolds and Zy Baker along with 6 great great grandchildren, Caleb Lindley, Benjamin Keley, Breaden Logan, Roxie Logan, Bentley Logan and Ashton Reynolds.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 19th at Antioch Church 5201 Antioch Road Overland Park, Kansas 66202. Burial in Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens 23215 West 75th Street Shawnee, Kansas 66227. Visitation 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 18th at the church.
