Morgan Mackenzie Green

July 12, 1994April 13, 2019

Morgan M. Green, 24 years old, of Olathe, Kansas went home on Angels Wings to meet his Savior on Saturday, April 13, 2019 surrounded by his close family members. He was one of the best people that ever lived. His life was not defined by his disease and disability but by the people that touched his life each day all over the world. He lived a life of joy, love and kindness which came across in his infectious smile and laugh.

Many people helped Morgan in his short life, and many more he helped to find purpose in their life. He truly was a gift to anyone who met him and in return he wanted to love others as he was loved. He enjoyed eating out, shopping, bowling, making Build a Bears, and most any other activity that involved his friends or family members where he could laugh and enjoy each moment.

He spent many of his years in and out of hospitals and clinics. He met all types of healthcare providers but did not worry about the prognosis. His thoughts were only about what bear or baby gift awaited him after it was all done.

Morgan was born in Salina, Kansas on July 12, 1994 and grew up in a small town in central Kansas with a single mother. At age five they moved to Olathe, Kansas where he thrived in a community who embraced him at each stage of his life. Morgan attended and graduated from Olathe East High School in 2013 where he received a standing ovation from the over crowded auditorium. He had three best friends at Olathe East and they have remained his best buds to this day. They are Jacob W. and Jake and Michael Wilkerson who have forever bonded with Morgan during his last few years of life.

Morgan is survived by his mother, Stephanie Green Findley and his brother Sheridan J. Findley both of Olathe, Kansas, his grandparents, Tom and Sherri Green of Wichita, Kansas, aunt Meagan Green of Wichita, Kansas, uncle Christopher Green of Ellsworth, cousin Andrew Green of Washington and great grandmother Vera Kizzar-Green of Texas. Morgan had many great aunts, uncles and cousins that he is survived by also.

Morgan Green will have a special “Celebration of Life” that will be scheduled at a later date. The family would appreciate if you want to assist in the celebration memorial. Condolences may be offered at:

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I was a para educator for Morgan when he was at Westview. Morgan touched so many lives there. The building was always filled with his laughter which was heard throughout the halls. Those big, bright blue eyes and amazing smile continues to flood my memory! Thank you,Morgan for allowing me to be a part of your life, and for always remembering me as the years passed. I felt so blessed to see you out in the community, and to hear you say," Hi,Sandra". Although, you will be missed here on earth; I know that you are enjoying heaven...running, laughing, singing, and enjoying a smorgasbord of all your favorite foods. Forever in my heart. Love,Miss Sandra

I am so very honored and privileged to have been a part of Morgan’s care team. From the moment we met he had me wrapped around his cute little finger and he knew it! Oh my Goodness that smile is priceless! We had so much fun teasing his nurse Chris, his mom, Sheridan really no one was off limits. Of course it was all out of love and in good fun. I’m proud to say Morgan gave me a new nickname that has stuck and I really love it. He called me Zan. If I had to pick a favorite thing about Morgan it would be that he truly made me happy just being with him. He always had me laughing and when he smiled he would melt my heart.
Thank you Morgan for making me a better person and always believing in me.
Love you buddy,

I remember the day you were born & holding you a million times after. I remember the day we found out how special you were and not knowing much about it. I remember watching you grow & helping your Momma out by feeding you, loving you & playing with you when I would come home from college, so she could study. I remember looking at your Momma thinking, God this friend of mine is amazing. She is so patient & so strong. She’s graduating nursing school as a single Mom with so much purpose. Her love for you is endless & Morgan, that’s exactly who you take after, that amazing woman, your Momma. Love to you & God, thank You for this gift of life... ♥️

So many memories of Morgan over the years. He was just a little fella when I first met him with his mom and baby brother, Sheridan. What a smile and kind spirit. Boy did he love bears, babies, and your full attention.
What a remarkable young man and an amazing family. Peace be with all of you! Thinking of you! 🙏🏻

I remember meeting Morgan for the first time at the pool and hearing him laugh and smile. It wasn't long before I started working with Morgan in his home as a caregiver. He inspired you to have a positive outlook on life and to not sweat the small stuff. Morgan always had a smile on his face, laughed often, and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was such a joy to be around and I am fortunate to have gotten to know him. He will truly be missed.

Stephanie, Sheridan and all of Morgan’s family please know you are in my thoughts and prayers at this time. Morgan was such an amazing young man and I am so thankful that he came into my life. His smile and infectious laugh made so many people smile and fall in love with him. He brought so much joy to the world. It would take me a novel to share all of the memories that my heart holds with Morgan. From getting stuck in the LLC during a severe thunderstorm, Walkie Talkies, build a bear trips, chips and juice boxes and the memories go on and on . Thank you for sharing him with all of us but especially thankful for letting me love him with all my heart. My heart will never quite be whole without him on this planet but it will always hold a place for him in it.

Stephanie, Morgan, and Sheridan,
Where do I start?? First, Stephanie, you are an inspiration! You are courageous, tenacious, patient, loving, selfless, and wise! Morgan, you are also courageous, hilarious, and so ornery! For the past 20 years I have been extremely honored to serve as your pediatrician. Where others refer to me as Dr. Deb, to you I have always been “hey lady!” You have insisted on Mi Ranchito chips, pretended you needed to pee when I tried to examine you (I saw the sly smile and the twinkle in your eyes) And ultimately challenged me to remember complicated metabolic pathways in order to properly care for you! Sweet Sheridan, I ache for the sadness and grief you are now going through! So young to have to lose a dear brother and friend! Hugs and prayers honey! I love you all! Thank you for the privilege of being in your lives! I pray for peace and strength for you all! Thinking of you daily!
