

Rebecca Rose Barrett 76, of Lenexa, Kansas passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, March 1, 2024. She will forever be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to everyone she knew.
Rebecca was born on December 28, 1947 in Humansville, Missouri to James Robert and Elsie Ladonna (Terry) Glasscock. She attended and graduated from Humansville High School. Rebecca enjoyed crocheting, sewing and arts and crafts.
She also enjoyed spending time with her family. Nothing gave her more pleasure in life than the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her children have fond memories of her baking pumpkin bars and her pumpkin swirl cake.
She was also a member of the Red Hat Club where she enjoyed playing Bunko and Bingo. Rebecca was a loving and caring person who had a beautiful smile. She was always willing to help anyone in need. She dedicated herself to pray her daily devotions. She will be sadly missed.
Rebecca is preceded in death by her two brothers Russell Coffin, Brett Coffin, sister Rae Lynn Napi and her grandson Matthew Wayne Parker. She is survived by her three children Daniel L. Parker Sr. of Kansas City, Missouri, Teresa M. Hewins and her husband Ron of Olathe, Kansas and Lucresia Ann James of Olathe, Kansas. Left behind to cherish her memory are her eight grandchildren Daniel Parker Jr., Stephanie Marie Preston (Isaac), Breanna Kay Mitts (Ethan), Nicholas Parker, Crystal Nicole Kuttler (Paul), Cavery Wendell James, Elijah Joseph Perry and Mathias Tilman Sedlack. Twelve great grandchildren Liam, David (D.J.), Emma, Reagan, Stella, Ella, Nora, Hayes, Sutton, Zayne, Rowan and Mason. Her brother Robert Coffman from Deer Park, Texas also survive Rebecca.
Rebecca will be cremated according to her wishes. A “Celebration of Life” honoring the life of Rebecca Rose Barrett will take place at a later date. Condolences may be offered at www.McGilley-Frye.com
