Ruby A. Yost

Ruby was born Feb 7, 1916, in her family’s farm house in Stilwell, Kan. She was the youngest of 7 children. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, Charles & Sarah Brenner of Stilwell, KS; brothers, Edgar, Fred, Ralph, Clayton, Marvin and John.

She graduated from Olathe High School in 1933 and was active in the Grace United Methodist Church, DAR, & her bridge clubs.

Ruby is survived by her loving daughter, Susan L. (Steve) McGreevy of Overland Park, KS; 3 grandsons, Michael McGreevy & great-grandsons: Conner & Kyle of Wichita, KS; Grandson, John (Amy)McGreevy; Great-Granddaughters, Molly, Erin & Shannon McGreevy of Saunderstown, R.I.; grandson, Mark McGreevy of Providence, RI.; many nieces & nephews and their families.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., Mon. February 28, 2011 at the Grace United Methodist Church – 11485 Ridgeview Rd. Olathe, KS 66061. Funeral Services will be follow visitation. Burial will be held in Aubry Cemetery in Stilwell, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers her family request donations to the Grace United Methodist Church or to Aberdeen Village- 17510 W. 119th St. Olathe, KS 66061

The family wishes to thank the nurses & staff of Aberdeen Village for their care for the past 7 years. Her family meant the world to her and she will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.
