Sam Pike Griffin III

Sam was born in Olathe, Kansas on October 9, 1976. He lived his entire life in and around Olathe. He graduated from Olathe North High School in 1996.

Sam lived his life beyond his disability. He played in wheelchair basketball and track and field. He connected with people from all steps of life with an innocence only Sam could project. He loved children, and children loved him. He was particularly close to his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Pamela Ann Griffin, and his father, Sam Pike Griffin, Jr. and a brother, Mark Kevin Moody, Jr.

He is survived by four sisters, Betty Ann Parkes, of O'Fallon, Missouri, and Erica L. Unger, Valerie I. Griffin and Kimberly Nichole Dougan each from Gardner, Kansas; He had nine nieces and nephews, Alexander, Victoria, Elizabeth, Wyatte, Harmony, Peyton, Khi' Lynn, Kingston, and Paxton.
