

Shirley Ann Meyer, 66, of Olathe, Kansas passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Villa St. Francis Nursing Home. She will forever be remembered as a loving sister, aunt and friend to everyone she met.
Shirley was born on October 13, 1947 in Gardner, Kansas to Earl M. and Alma Lucille (Hullett) Meyer. She attended and graduated from Olathe North High School in 1965. She was a faithful member of The College Church Of The Nazarene. Shirley enjoyed spending time in her garden growing flowers and watching television. The old TV shows (Hawaii Five-O) were her favorite. She expressed her talent in making jewelry. Every year during Old Settlers she would sell her handmade jewelry. Nothing gave her more pleasure in life than her collection of porcelain dolls. She will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents: Earl and Alma Meyer and brother-in-law Rodney Hobbs. Survivors include her sisters: Mable White and her husband Glenn of Edgerton. Kansas, Bonnie Hobbs of Olathe, Kansas, Earlene Cramer of Olathe, Kansas and Darlene Meyer of the home. She will be sadly missed by her neighbor and dearest friend Patty Cupp and her son Brian Cupp along with Patty’s Husband Jon Cupp who helped Shirley out around the house from time to time. Shirley is also survived by her brother-in law Kenneth Cramer of Riley County, Kansas.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 3, 2014 at the McGilley & Fyre Funeral Home 105 East Loula Street Olathe, Kansas. Interment in Prairie Grove Cemetery 27 Maple Street Cottonwood Falls, Kansas. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. January 2, 2014 at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: “The Family”.
