

Stephen Lynn Moore, born on June 2, 1949, in Pana, Illinois, passed away on August 28, 2025, at the age of 76. Stephen was a beloved, compassionate, kind-hearted, and inspirational individual who touched the lives of many.
Stephen spent his early years in Rockford, Illinois, before moving to Kansas in the 1970s. He built a successful career in warehouse management, where he was known for his dedication and leadership.
On May 18, 1987, Stephen married Linda Ramona Moore, with whom he shared a loving and proud family life. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Linda, one daughter, and two granddaughters. Stephen is survived by his sons, David Moore and Danny Moore, and his daughters, Lisa Warmoth, Patty Marshall, Elizabeth Garms, Linda Michelle Fuller, and Shiela Martin; and siblings Sheryl, Lori, Randy Moore and Mike Moore. He also leaves behind 14 cherished grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
Stephen had a deep love for sports, particularly baseball, and was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Royals. He enjoyed discussing sports with his children, a pastime that brought him great joy and connection. He enjoyed sharing his passion for sports with his children and also cherished watching NASCAR with his family. A man of faith, Stephen spent 60% of his day reading the Bible, finding solace and wisdom in its teachings.
Known for his warm and uplifting nature, Stephen always ended conversations with "I love you and I love you first and more." He encouraged others to "always smile at who is walking by you so you can make someone have a better day and maybe save a life."
Stephen's legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those who knew him.
The family will hold a Celebration of LIfe on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from 4-9 pm, at the Oak Shelter (NW side of the park) in Blackhoof Park, 9053 Monticello Rd., Lenexa, KS 66220.
There will be a private inurnment at a later date.
