Suzanne D. Wallin, 75, of Olathe, Kansas passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, October 14, 2023. She will forever be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to everyone she knew.
Suzanne was born on February 25, 1948 in Gideon, Missouri to Gale LaVaughn and Dorothy (Dottie) Omega (Sumpter) Davis. She attended and graduated from Kennett High School in Kennett, Missouri. She earned her bachelor’s degree in education with an emphasis in art at Southeast Missouri College.
She met the love of her life Gary L. Wallin and they were married on December 20, 1969. Together they raised their two daughters Tiffany and Jill. Suzanne started her teaching career teaching Art and Home Economics in Ironton, Missouri, Springfield, Missouri and then, California, Missouri. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Nothing gave her more pleasure in life than the time she spent with her grandchildren. Suzanne was member of Lenexa Baptist Church. She also enjoyed reading and traveling with her husband Gary and spending time at the beach.
Her parents Gale and Dottie Davis precede Suzanne in death. Her loving husband of fifty-three years, Gary Wallin of the home, daughters Tiffany Walmsley and her husband Tom of Lenexa, Kansas and Jill Davis and her husband Corey of DeSoto, Kansas, survive her. Left behind to cherish her memory are her three grandchildren Madisyn Wallin, Kobe Davis and Koen Davis. Her two brothers Larry Davis and his wife Teresa of Irving,Texas and Neal Davis and his wife Elaine of Goodlettsville,Tennessee. Her nephew Steven Davis and his wife Paige also survive Suzanne.
Funeral service 2:30 p.m. Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Lenexa Baptist Church 15320 West 87th Street Lenexa, Kansas. Interment in DeSoto Cemetery 34500 West 87th Street DeSoto, Kansas. Visitation will be 1:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m. one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
