Thelma June Goodyear, 91, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 3rd, 2013. Memorial services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, October 5th, at Grace United Methodist Church, 11485 S. Ridgeview Road, Olathe, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to the Olathe Medical Center Hospice House.
June was born April 19, 1922 on a farm outside of Hutchinson, Kansas. She was married to Harry A. Goodyear for 52 years. She worked as a welder in a ship yard during WWII while Harry was serving overseas. She held a variety of jobs over the years from postal carrier to real estate agent.
She is survived by her daughter, Jeanne Quinn (Michael) of Olathe, Kansas and two sons, Rodney Goodyear (Karen) of Forest Falls, California and Robert Goodyear (Mary) of Dalinda, Illinois. Grandchildren Shawn Goodyear, Scott Goodyear, Todd Goodyear, Leslie Goodyear ___, Jeffrey Goodyear, Briana Quinn Brown, and Katy Quinn Streeter. As well as 8 great grandchildren.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
