

Kemp Dusing Underwood, 79, of Spring Hill. Kansas passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021. He will forever be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to everyone he knew. Kemp was born on July 11, 1942 in Roanoke, Virginia to Kemp Dusing Sr. and Oakley Lee (Stump) Underwood.
He served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. Stationed on the CVA 64-USS Constellation (plank owner). Kemp was a member of the National Rifle Association. Kemp and Vada were members of Thrashers Car Club. Together they loved antiquing, enjoying spending time with their family and nothing gave them more pleasure in life than the time they spent with their grandchildren and great grandchildren. Kemps hobbies were, working on “Hot Rods” Indian Crafts and working diligently in his garden.

Vada Virginia (Steele) Underwood, 81, of Spring Hill, Kansas passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021. She will forever be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to everyone she knew.
She was born on February 20, 1940 in Salem, West Virginia to Paul and Pearl Steele. Vada enjoyed starting her day with a cup of coffee. Vada and Kemp enjoyed going to car shows and antiquing together. She also enjoyed collecting dolls, bird watching and her two dogs.
Vada and Kemp are both preceded in death by their parents. They are survived by their three sons Timothy W. Underwood and his wife Kimberly K. of Paola, Kansas, Matthew T. Underwood and his wife Mystic R. of Olathe, Kansas, Kemp D. Underwood III and his wife Bridget K. of Louisburg, Kansas and one daughter Melissa D. Underwood of Maysville, Missouri. Left behind to cherish the memories are their ten grandchildren Brandon D. Tabor and his wife Sheril, Aaron C. Tabor, Samantha M. Underwood, Kourtney A. Underwood, Billie D. Underwood, Brenden L. Hagemaster, Kerry Wilcox, Derek Wilcox, MaKayla D. Kramer and Gavin K. Smith. Two great grandchildren Everly M. Tabor and Bella Underwood and their faithful two companions “Buster” and “Little Bear”.
