William Thomas Caprefoli

William Thomas Caprefoli, 82, of Olathe, Kansas passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022. He will forever be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to everyone he knew.

“Bill” as he was known by his family and friends was born on December 9, 1939 in Kansas City, MO, to Frank and Caroline (Slosson) Caprefoli. He attended and graduated from a catholic high school. Following high school, he pursued his life-long passion for aviation by serving his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force for eight years.

He met the love of his life, Ivy Irene (Moore), and they were married on June 3, 1961. Together they raised their four sons: Tom, Frank, Paul and John. Bill enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, watching football and spending time with his family. In addition, he loved motorcycles, was an avid reader, and was a general know-it-all. Nothing gave him more pleasure in life that the time he spent with his grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He will be deeply missed.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Caroline Caprefoli. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-nine years, Ivy Irene Caprefoli; four sons, Tom Caprefoli and his wife Kelly of Olathe, Kansas, Frank Caprefoli of Blue Springs, Missouri, Paul Caprefoli of Olathe, KS, and John Caprefoli of Shawnee, Kansas; sister Barbara Colbrese; niece Brandy Grey and nephews, Bari Grey and David Grey, Jr. Also, left behind to cherish his memory are his 10 grandchildren: William Christopher Caprefoli (wife Kelsey), Jonathan Michael Caprefoli, Devon Thomas Caprefoli, Daniel Parkinson, Preston Endicott, Anthony Michael Caprefoli, Cristian Thomas Caprefoli, Corissa Noelle Collins, Kyle Keanu Lee Harris and Destiny Torres; and great-grandchildren: Lillian Caprefoli, Lennon Parkinson, Skylynn Harris, Brody Harris and Emmett Harris.

A graveside service for William will be held Monday, April 4, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, 13901 South Blackbob Road, Olathe, KS 66062.
