Alfred J. Grana Jr.

Alfred J. Grana, Jr., 75, of Old Bridge, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2010 at home. He was a baker for the Wonder Bread/ Hostess Cake Co. for 46 years including 25 years at the plant in East Brunswick, retiring in 1996. Alfred loved his family very much. Born in the Bronx, NY., he resided in NY moving to Old Bridge in 1971. Alfred was predeceased by his loving wife of 54 years, Laura E. Grana in April of this year. He is survived by his three daughters, Valerie Tietchen of Freehold, Janine Grana of Old Bridge, Debbie Onorato & her husband Steven of Jamesburg; and his son Joseph Grana & his wife Nicole of Old Bridge. Also surviving are his beloved grandchildren, Michele & John Casey, Tony Onorato, Frank Tietchen, Danny Onorato, Nicole Onorato and Courtney Grana; and his beloved great-grandson Jakob Casey. Friends may call on Thursday, August 5, from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, 3377 US Hwy 9, Old Bridge. Funeral Services will be Friday, August 6, 2010 at 10am from the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 3139 CR 516 Old Bridge. Committal will be private.
