
Francis “Frank” Malaquias went home to the Lord on Wednesday, August 5, 2015. He was 77. Frank was born in Perth Amboy, NJ to Francisco and Maria (Pinho) Malaquias. He resided in Sayreville for the past 36 years, formerly living in the Avenel section of Woodbridge. Francis served his country proudly with the US Army reserves. Frank earned a Bachelor’s degree from Bloomfield College. He was the proprietor for seventeen years of the All Brite Cleaners in Parlin, and then was a substitute teacher for fifteen years, with the Sayreville Board of Education. He was an avid reader, and served on the board of trustees at the Sheffield Mews condo association.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Joyce (Kosel) Malaquias, a son; Scott of Bedminster, and a daughter; Nicole Malaquias of Parlin, and two grandsons; Daniel and Joaquin Malaquias. Sister in law; Carole Bean (Michael), and nephew Jeremy Kalupa, all of Ohio.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 from 2pm to 4pm & 7pm to 9pm at Michael Hegarty Funeral Home 3377 US Highway 9 Old Bridge, NJ 08857. A 10 am Wednesday funeral home service will be celebrated prior to entombment in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge, NJ. Memorial donations are being accepted in his name to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142 Memphis, TN 38148-0142, or a charity of your choice.
