Irene McGinty

Irene McGinty, 84, of Holmdel died gracefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel. Born and raised in Elizabeth she resided in Holmdel for the past 4 years.

Mrs. McGinty was a homemaker; she enjoyed shopping and trips to the beach. She was an avid animal lover. Most of all she adored being with her family.

Mrs. McGinty is predeceased by her beloved husband of 28 years Thomas McGinty (1986) and her dear nephew Gregory McGinty (2014). She is survived by her loving children Christopher (and Donna) McGinty, Thomas J (and Lori Ann) McGinty and Patrick (and Diane) McGinty; her adored grandchildren Amanda (and Steven) Janks and Christopher McGinty, Jr. She is also survived by her adored great-grandchildren Kyle and Kaitlyn Janks.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend visitation Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 5pm to 9pm at Michael Hegarty Funeral Home 3377 Hwy 9 Old Bridge, NJ 08857. A funeral mass will be celebrated 10:30am Friday, January 30, 2015 at St. Ambrose RC Church 81 Throckmorton Lane Old Bridge, NJ. 08857. Burial will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery 53 Inman Avenue Colonia, NJ 07067.
