Jeffry L. Toperzer

Jeffry L. Toperzer, 70, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Sharon, Pa., Jeffry had lived in Brooklyn before moving to Old Bridge over 30 years ago. He was an accountant for Widder Brothers in Manhattan for over 30 years retiring in 2003. Jeffry was a Vietnam War veteran serving with the US Army, and a life member of VFW Post 9468 in Old Bridge. He enjoyed chess, going to the beach, dancing, golf, boating, skiing, swimming, and living & loving life.

Jeffry was predeceased by his wife, Phyllis Toperzer; and his parents, Charles & Virginia Toperzer. He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Cheryl & Scott Berkuta; his daughter and her fiancé, Lauren Toperzer & Rob Bittner; his grandsons, Dylan & Jackson; his brother, Chuck Toperzer; and his sister, Pam Roscoe.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, 3377 Rt. 9, Old Bridge, NJ, with a prayer service at 7:30pm. Cremation will be private. In Lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
