Luella N. Nichols Davis

Luella N. Davis, 95, of Old Bridge Entered into Eternal Rest on Monday, March 16, 2015 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge. She was born March 25, 1919 to the late Harry and Ann (Davies) Nichols in Pittsburgh, PA. She married her beloved William T. Davis in 1944, together they settled in Old Bridge where Luella has resided for the past 49 years.

Luella was a retired secretary for Waterman’s Steamship Company, Inc. of Pittsburgh, PA where she worked for 11 years. She was a 45 year member of the First Baptist Church of Matawan serving as Deaconess, Past President of the Women’s Fellowship and Past President of Sally’s Circle.

Luella is predeceased by her beloved husband of 53 years, William T. Davis (1997) and is survived by her loving children David (and his wife Carol) Davis, Blaine (and his wife Gina) Davis; her adored grandchildren Cortney, Shane, Caitlin and Meghan Davis; and her cherished great-grandchildren Olivia and Delaney Davis.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend visitation Friday, March 20, 2015 from 2pm to 4pm & from 7pm to 9pm at Michael Hegarty Funeral Home 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge NJ 08857 with Funeral Prayer Service taking place 7:30 pm officiated by Pastor Daniel Wiginton of First Baptist Church, Matawan. A private family committal will take place Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.
